From Green to White

In case I haven’t mentioned it before, I have 3 jobs. Yes, THREE (3) jobs. I work as a paralegal, Hebrew teacher, and as of late, rental agent. Apparently I’m pretty good at finding tenants for my landlord to fill up his empty apartment units. We’ve struck a deal that when I rent out a unit, I get half off my rent for the month. Not bad right?

Well, this month there are two available units. It’s great because they are both in my building and my building is this amazing mid-century, spacious paradise. Ok, maybe I’m over-exaggerating, but I do like it a lot! My enthusiasm is contagious, so renting out these units *hopefully* won’t take long.

What am I going to do with the green once I’ve earned it? Currently, I’m eating off of a card table, sewing off of a dining table, serving off of a yard sale mis-matched sideboard, and setting my alarm on a stained tv stand. Here’s the new plan, all from Ikea:

White pedestal dining table, $249.00

White bookcase, turned on side as sideboard, $69.99

White work chair for sewing, $89.99

White night stand, a la Alice in Wonderland, $149.00

White night stand, for my shoes to be placed by my shoe-tying chair, $39.99
