MARGARITAS (nuf said)

Hi all!

I’ve been getting the hint over and over and over again – more recipes please!  I actually have a back-log I’d like to share with you, especially since I’ve been refining my baking skills.  BAKING SKILLS.  And I’ve got some – who knew?!

This coming Shabbos I’m planning a fish taco margarita night, and of course, there is no way I could present margaritas with confidence without testing them first.  And besides, it’s 9/11.  After all the specials on TV I’m sure you too could use a cocktail recipe, right?

Well, I searched Pinterest high and low and came up with these recipes here.  Pretty darn good!

Classic Margarita on the rocks

  • 3 ounces Patron Silver tequila
  • 1/2 ounce Cointreau
  • 2 ounces fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 1 ounce sugar water syrup
  • 1 Tbsp salt for rim 






Frozen Strawberry Margarita
  • 3/4 c Patron Silver tequila
  • 1/4 c Cointreau
  • 1/3 c fresh squeezed lime juice
  •  2 Tbsp honey
  • 3 c ice
  • ***Please note, I do not, nor will I ever make light of 9/11.  As a former flight attendant I am ever aware of all impending threats and the ultimate sacrifice that those on the United and American flights made.  But I would also like to come off as hopeful.  Not only is it important to preserve the memory of the lost, but in their memory to move forward with hope that in the end goodness will prevail.***
