This year, Chanukah collides with Christmas, and that may leave you feeling like you have plenty of time to buy all your Chanukah gifts, but don’t be fooled. The Festival of Lights will come sooner than you know it, and if you wait to shop until December 23rd, you’ll be fighting crowds and lines and Christmas music to buy for everyone on your list. That’s why I’m giving you a head-start with the Ultimate Etsy Chanukah Gift Guide for 2016.
Why Etsy? Why not other online retailers? There are more gift guides coming, but I specifically wanted to highlight makers who create unique products. When you buy from makers, you support a local economy. You can find a unique gift from as close as next door or as far as the Holy Land. Better yet, Etsy helps you find the perfect symbol of your affection with their Editor’s Picks!
1.) Studio Armadillo
I’m OBSESSED with this shop. All of the ceramics from Studio Armadillo are to die for. Think mid-century meets pastels. I would be happy with any item from this shop, but I fell in love with this fan-inspired menorah.
These brass dreidels are so cool. They remind me a little of Inception. There are many designs to choose from, and they are all made in Tel Aviv.
Michael Musser is personal friend of mine from college, and he owns Anticipate, an Etsy shop that sells unused vintage stamps and cool map envelope liners. These are great to add to any stationary collection. Michael also owns Anticipate Invitations, which has been featured in all the major wedding blogs. He’s such a talented designer – check out his website!
Guys, these are Zion’s Action Figures, and if you care for me at all, you will get these for me for Chanukah. Can’t get me all of them? I’ll settle for Golda Meir. Thank you Piece of History! These are awesome.
Speaking of wooden toys, Wooden Caterpillar brought me straight back to my childhood. So many farm animals and woodland creatures to keep your toddler occupied for hours. As always, I’m partial to the giraffes.
This Fluffmonger maker is located in North Carolina, and only uses ethically sourced organic cotton to make her squeal-worthy stuffed creations like this Penguin. There are a variety of other hoodie-clad animals, and some even come with books!
Lil Tulip makes the most darling baby quilts that take on a true heirloom feel. Pillows and stockings are also available.
If I’ve been communicating with you and didn’t highlight your Etsy store, don’t fret. I’ll be doing regular Etsy gift guides throughout the year, so stay tuned!
